Century Farmhouse presents our 2025 Soap Making Retreats!

Registration opens January 1, 2025

Join our creative retreat in Wisconsin’s beautiful Kettle Moraine countryside. It will be a jam-packed day-long workshop at Cedar Valley Retreat Center near West Bend, Wisconsin. The retreat center grounds couldn’t be more conducive to relaxing creativity: come early and walk the trails through 100 acres of woodlands, open prairie, and along a pretty creek and pond. Spark your imagination and engage your senses:

If you wish to begin the day with deep breaths of fresh air and a walk around the campus through woodland and prairie, and also offer a brief hello to the resident llamas, plan to arrive just before 9:00. Weather permitting, of course.

Learn the cold process soap making method and create your own batch of luscious, handcrafted soap.

Your interactive soap making day will feature:

•An overview and finer details of the process of making soap

•How to: source materials, design a recipe, and create a fragrance profile

•Hands-on experience creating your very own personalized soap

The Soap Making Retreat includes:

•Pre-measured ingredients kit

•Century Farmhouse apron

•Starter recipes

•Hands-on practice

•Lunch on-site

•Delivery or shipping of finished soap

•Video instruction on cutting and care of your brand new soap

•Ongoing support for future batches you might make

*The batch size is about two pounds of soap, approximately 7-8 bars plus trimmings
